Focus of JOFCC:

Prayer:

Joy of Faith Christian Center is first and foremost a
church of prayer. The church is committed to pray for the
world, the United States of America, the Athens
area, JOFCC, and individual requests. In order to
accomplish great things for God, we must have
Him completely involved. Prayer is the vehicle
that hooks us up with God and His power.
Without the foundation of prayer, our own
efforts will be fruitless. Therefore, prayer has
always been and will always be a vital part of this
church. Currently, there are two corporate prayer
sessions held each week, and a number of
individual sessions held at various times throughout
the week. The leaders and co-leaders of the prayer sessions are trained and committed to
pray and declare the Word of God. If you have an individual prayer request that you would
like to be covered in a prayer session at JOFCC, please e-mail your request to
prayer@jofcc.org, or call the church office at 706-353-7303.

                                    Ministry of the Word:
                                          `We believe that the Word of God should
                                            hold the highest place of honor in our lives,
                                            being valued above everything else. Because
                                            of this belief, JOFCC is dedicated to teaching
                                            and preaching the uncompromised Word of God.
                                            God’s Word is our source of life, nourishment,
                                            strength, and health. Just as it is important that
                                            we feed our physical bodies, it is even more
                                             important that we feed our spirits. The Word
                                            of God is spiritual food to our inward man.
                                            Three regularly scheduled services per week,
                                            plus the School of Higher Education, and the
                                            individual fellowship and support groups,
                                            provide a good source of feeding your spirit
                                            man on the Word of God. Please see Service

                                            regarding the regularly scheduled services and
                                            fellowship / support groups. Also, check the
                                            calendar for upcoming special meetings and events.

Healing Ministry:
A major part of Jesus’ earthly ministry involved healing the sick.
After His resurrection, He commissioned the believers to lay hands
on the sick in His Name. In Mark 16:20, it says that the Lord worked
with them (as well as us today) and confirmed the Word of God with
accompanying signs. As an extension of His ministry of healing,
Joy of Faith Christian Center has been called to bring healing to
the Athens area and beyond. Our weekly Faith School 101, which
began in July, 2000, involves ministering the Word concerning
bodily healing, and ministering the healing anointing to the sick
and infirm. In addition,there are a number of materials available
On-Line under Free Downloads regarding how to receive healing.

Missions:
Joy of Faith Christian Center has a vision to reach the lost with the Gospel and to make our
Father rich with souls. We support ministries and missions financially to go into all parts of
the world that we cannot physically go. JOFCC supports missions and ministries in Russia,
Latvia, Hong Kong, China, India, Pakistan, and Israel.
