CHANGING LIVES FROM THE INSIDE OUT:
When you walk in the door at Joy of Faith Christian Center you
can feel the electricity in the air. The combined anointing in
this assembly of like minded believers creates a very empowering
atmosphere, which will cause your own faith to be stirred up.
People come to every service with high expectancy and are never
disappointed. This faith filled atmosphere works together with the
bold proclaiming of the truth of God’s Word to produce tangible
results in our lives. Minds are renewed as we learn to walk in the
spirit and step out in faith in every area of life. Not only are
burdens lifted and old habits put away, but supernatural healings
are a common occurrence. We are covenant people walking in the
favor of God, and are blessed in order to be a blessing to others.
During the three regularly scheduled weekly
services, the Word of God is presented in a simple
and easy to understand way, containing a wealth
of revelation. Recipients are taught in such areas
as: the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our identification
with Christ, living a victorious life, walking in
love, the Blood Covenant we have with God,
living by faith, prospering in life, the
principles of the Kingdom of God, our authority
in Christ, and the Person of the Holy Spirit.
Our mission is to go into all the world and make disciples of all
nations, beginning in the Athens area and expanding throughout
Northeast Georgia, the United States of America and to the end of
the earth, by opening their eyes in order to turn them from
darkness to light and from the power of satan to God, that they may
receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who
have exercised faith in Jesus Christ. It is our desire for people to be
saved, to come to the knowledge of the truth, and to have their lives
transformed by the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that we will have an impact in this end-time harvest.
Pastors Tony and Denise Cowan founded the church in March, 1999
and continue to minister to the people in and around Athens. Over
the years, the church has grown and developed, with the main
emphasis on prayer, teaching the Word, missions, worship and
evangelism. God is doing great things at Joy of Faith Christian
Center, in the Athens area, and around the world.
